Tracy Stark, CSP she/her
Tracy Stark is a health and safety consultant specializing in supporting theater and arts organizations in improving safety and meeting compliance requirements. In addition, Tracy is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) currently working as the Safety Engineer for the University of California, Riverside (UCR). She started with the University of California (UC) in 2016 and was based at UC Santa Cruz (UCSC). While there she spent fifty percent of her time dedicated to safety support for the UCSC Arts Division and the other fifty percent as the UC system-wide Performing Arts Safety Center of Excellence coordinator. The Center of Excellence provided onsite safety audits, consultation, and training for the UC and California State University systems. She continues to support all UC campuses on an as-requested basis since transferring to UCR. Before joining the University of California, Tracy worked in commercial entertainment on the Las Vegas Strip for almost 20 years. She worked for several shows including Siegfried & Roy and Cirque du Soleil's O. Tracy has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Technical Direction for Theater from the University of Southern California and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Technical Design & Production from The Yale School of Drama. Tracy also has a professional certificate in occupational health and safety from the OSHA Training Institute at UC San Diego.
